Focus!

At first I wanted to bring you on my run. Well I can tell you that trying to film with a flip cam while running does not produce good results. So when I say at the beginning of the clip that I hope it didn’t make you sea-sick, the clip turned out really bad 😉

So I’ll throw in a few pics of my running playground.

Arrival at the park

Arrival at the park

This is when I get to the park. It’s always a high. After warming up for about 5 minutes thru the city streets, this is the view I get. This is when I really clear my mind. No traffic, I can really let my mind wander. I can’t state enough the importance of having a clear mind to find solutions and ideas. Some may really reach it thru meditation, it sometimes happens to me. The best for me still is a « floatation bath », but considering the cost, most of my runs will generate similar results. I start tossing around ideas, not judging anything. I’m in a grateful mood each time I run here. Greatful to be there, to be able to run, to feel « fit » at almost 50

Water always had a powerful  effect on me. I’m not much into astrology but maybe being an Aquarius might have something to do with it. it’s always when I run close to the water that ideas crystallize. My house is close to this huge river that is the St-Lawrence and my summer cottage is close to the sea.  It just energizes me!

Anyway…

Today it’s about focus. And to have focus you have to start from stopping what PREVENTS YOU FROM BEING FOCUSED!

One big culprit is e-mails. We stop what we are doing to check it, we stop in our tracks when that little annoying Icon pops up! It’s tough to get back into the flow of things. And if you add to your « normal » mail, GMail/Hotmail/Yahoo, Facebook mail, LinkedIn mail, and Twitter DM’s, things get quickly out of hand!
